the other lokas are distinct in composition different from earth and hence not visible to the eyes , our eyes can grasp only materials which are greater in constitution of earth ie prithvi tatva out of panchabhutas . any thing that has more of other tatvas , are agochar to humans .

Dear AchArya,
1. I have been always of the opinion that Vaikuntha is infinite in extent and outside Brahmanda.
However your post shows that Vaikuntha is finite and inside Brahmanda. Is my understanding right?
2. Does the name anantakotibramhanda nayak for Lord imply that there are infinite Brahmandas in existence simultaneously (if simultaneity in time has any meaning between two Brahmandas)?
Does this mean thre are infinite Brahmas, devatas and other sAtvika jIvas undergoing moksha sadhana (similarly for rajasic and tamasic jIvas) simultaneously?
3. Also the total extent of Brahmanda is about 4 billion miles, which is roughly the size of solar system in modern science. There are uncountable number of solar systems and galaxies etc. The size of Universe as per science is astronomical in comparison to the numbers given in this article. In Science distance is measured in terms of billions of light years, i.e. distance traveled by light in a year.
The speed of light is 23437.5 Yojanas per second.
In a year light would travel 740340000000 yojanas.
Billion light years will be 74034 * 10^16 Yojanas.
The error between 100 crore Yojanas and astronomical distances of Universe as per Science is itself 74034 * 10^7 = 74034 crores.
What is your opinion on modern Scientific models of Universe? How are we to understand what is directly observed through telescopes and other aids versus scriptural understanding? I am sure Bhagavan Veda Vyasa cannot make any mistake. Is it possible something is missing here in my and/or our understanding?

kindly answer one thing , does the light that comes back to us or that we see tell us that it has come to us after travelling for a year . or is there a way that we can find that a particular light is been coming from a 740034 * ……. etc miles .
what science states is an assumption , else none has seen or captured the end of universe . end of univese exists only if light bends
now for yojan it is asta hasta , this hasta is dev pramana and ot manushya of kaliyuga . so universe is vast than the presennt day mile .,

Dear AchArya,
I do NOT have knowledge on astronomy. However, when I went through their methods of calculations, I found all their methods have some kind of assumptions, when direct measurement of distances cannot be made.
The distance between planets or that between Sun and all planets in solar system is directly measured by radar instruments which emit electromagnetic radiations and the time between emitted and reflected radiation from the surface of planets or sun is measured. Thus distances are measured accurately in Solar system.
However distances of nearest stars have also been measured using the method called parallax method, which involves measuring angles subtended by relatively nearby stars as Earth moves around Sun from one side of Sun to diametrically opposite side of Sun in its orbit. However it is NOT clear to me how they measure this angle? There are many problems here also…
http://spiff.rit.edu/classes/phys301/lectures/parallax/parallax.html
So except measurements of objects in Solar system, everything else is a suspect..
However, distance between Pluto and Sun is measured to be 366.6 crore miles = 45.825 crore Yojanas. This approximately is the size of Brahmanda.
Even unmanned space missions to Pluto is scheduled by 2015. This means Pluto’s orbit and therefore distance from sun is clearly known already.
AchArya Madhwa also seems to have known about gravitational fields. In Dwadasha stotra, AchArya says that waves in sea are caused by Moon.
SUJANODHADISAMVRUDDHIPOORNACHANDRO GUNARNAVAH
AMANDAANANDASAANDRO NAH PREEYATHAAM INDIRAAPATHIH
The husband of Indira is like a full moon in creating tides in the oceans of the minds of good people (those who are equipped with Jnana, Bhakthi and Vairagya). He Himself is an ocean of auspicious qualities. He is made of complete and flawless bliss and other qualities. May such Hari be pleased with us.
AchArya clearly compares Shri Hari causes waves (of Bhakti) in th ehearts of good people, just like Moon causes waves in ocean. This is well known in Science that Moon causes waves in ocean by ts gravitational pull.
In addition, the time scale or life if Sun as per Science (which is also lifetime for our solar system) is approximately a day of Lord Brahma, which is about 9 billion years. This is remarkably accurate with our scriptural estimation of destruction of Earth on the end of day of Lord Brahma. Life on Earth is found only on a span of 4 billion years or more, before Sun swallows Earth by expanding and burning it with its heat.
“now for yojan it is asta hasta , this hasta is dev pramana and ot manushya of kaliyuga . so universe is vast than the presennt day mile .,”
I believe in the ability of Shri Hari and Devatas than any human being sir. However, my asking questions i only to understand better. I also read Bhugola Varnana of Vadiraja Swamy. I want to understand correctly.
I have a question. What are stars according to our scriptures? What does Shri Hari mean by “nakshatranam aham sashi” in bhagavad Gita. Also in Bhugola Varnana, Vadiraja Swamy apparently says nakshatras are Gandharva vimanas. How are we to understand these statements?
I have read in Brhadaranyaka Upnanishad where in one context the word Nakshatra refers to Indra, who does NOT protect Sun from Rahu and Ketu.
The word is split as Na (NOT) + Kshatra (protect from hurt).
Please explain…

reflected light suffers change in frequency and is not justified that it is from same reflected source and it is foolish to think that light gets reflected only by the target that it is intended on and there is no obstruction it faces all through towards its object target .

Dear AchArya,
There could be any number of things that can happen between the radar instrument and the object it is measuring. However I am NOT working the field of astronomy to defend their methods.
It takes a lot of time to read them and understand them. However, working in research areas , I know there are a lot of assumptions and fudging (nonsense) when you do not know or understand.
Please do NOT get irritated at my questions. I am only clearing my doubts. As I said I believe in Shri Hari and AchArya Madhva more than anything.

No I am not irritated by such questions , these discussions sets an agenda whereby people will start questioning science and its means to arrive at conclusion ! which is always dubious ! yet people feel science offers great answers !

it is sadhana of vishwa rupa of Hari . it comes under vigyana yoga . Secondly it also announces that there is no difference in constitution of pindanda and bramhanda . What exists outside also exists inside , this leads to may siddhis comin in the way of a sadhak . only if Hari bhakti is there and Vayu grace also exists ,
Deity GANESHa worships Lord Vishwambar in this form , the above is detail given by GOPALADASA an incarnatio of GAnapaty . Incidentally Hari in Viradrupa is also having a head of n ELEphant .

respected sir,
please forgive me and correct me if i am wrong in the following verses…
it is a known fact that the time is relative phenomenon… ex:- 1 day of brahmaji not equal to 1 day of devas and not equal to 1 day of manushyaas….. when this being the case i would llike to assume that even the distances mentioned should also be relative …. i would like to assume that since the brahmanda was created by brahmaji by grace of vishnu… all the units of distance must be taken according to ” his scale “…
by this i would like to mention that since 1 day of brahmaji = several lakhs ( maybe crores ) of days with respect to human days… similarily 1 yojan mentioned must be equal to several crores of yojans according to our scale.. please clarify on this ..
